Pakistan Railway Advisory & Consultancy Services Limited (PRACS), Islamabad
PRACS, a subsidiary of Ministry of Railways was founded in 1976. It provides consultancy and advisory services such as to planning, designing and managing all disciplines of railways and general consultancy projects. PRACS is also dealing in bulk transport of passengers goods, commercial management of trains, stations, reservation offices and the rendering of catering services.

Pakistan Railway Carriage Factory, Islamabad
The factory has so far produced 1,692 Coaches of various types, including 225 Meter Gauge/Broad Gauge Passenger Coaches for export to Bangladesh Railways. In 1992-93, the Carriage Factory undertook a project of special purpose freight wagons design, process, planning and production. The factory is now fully equipped to undertake the manufacture of passenger and special stock of international standards.

Pakistan Railway Locomotive Factory, Risalpur
The factory was commissioned in 1993, It is spread over an area of 257 acres. The factory has production capacity of 25 locomotives per year. It has so far manufactured 43 locomotives for Pakistan Railways.

Pakistan Railways Bridge Workshop, Jhelum
Bridge Workshop Jehlum was initially established in 1914 along the river near Jhelum Bridge and afterword it was relocated to present location in 1922. Bridge Workshop manufactures bridge girders, track crossings, concrete slabs, Platform shelters, foot-over bridges and various other components to meet the internal demands of Pakistan Railways.

Pakistan Railway Academy, Walton, Lahore
In 1925, a small railway training school was established in Layallpur (now Faisalabad), which was shifted to the present place. The mission is to fulfill the governing diversified training needs of the officers and staff of Pakistan Railways and Afro-Asian Member Countries through imparting good training in operation, maintenance and allied technical services. Since 1954, total of 1829 participants from more than 50 countries have benefited for the Academy.

Railway Estate Development and Marketing Company (pvt) limited, Islamabad

REDEMCO was established on 12 March, 2012. The main object of the company was to carry on the business of managing, maintaining, developing, promoting, improving, utilizing, performing, undertaking the non–core revenue generating activities of Pakistan railways. In the non-core revenue generating activities Redamco has not only limited itself with real estate development and marketing but also ventured in to other areas of advertisements and selling rights as well.
